Services

Welcome to DefTech: Your veteran hiring network. We match qualified candidates with companies who are seeking their next team member, and who wish to support Veterans. We have endeavoured to create a network where previous military personnel can seek civilian careers and use their professional skills.

Our central goal is to help veterans by associating veterans of the ADF with employers who value their experience and skills.
Employers can trust that our candidates have been well trained in their years of service, and have experience relevant to their projects.

Recruitment

Recruitment

Our service is unique to the traditional sales recruitment model, in that the fees we charge have an allotted portion which is dedicating to providing ongoing to support to the transitioning veteran.

We stay in touch with our placements for a minimum of 12 months after they begin with you, and continue to provide support for as long as needed beyond that.

This means that employers can be sure their new team member is being supported outside of their organisation, as well as from within.

We would love to discuss any questions you may have, including rates and replacement periods.

Resume Reviews

Resume Reviews

Our consultants are experienced in reading and writing resumes’, as this is something we do everyday.

A resume is essentially an advertisement of the job-seeker to a potential employer.

As with any advertisement, there is often a very short time frame with which to capture their attention. In fact, many employers will only spend a few seconds scanning a resume before deciding yes or no !

We are happy to provide our candidates with advise on how they may be able to best use their resume to secure their next step.

Interview Coaching

Interview Coaching

For some, being interviewed is a nerve racking experience, particularly if it has been a while since you last practiced.

Our consultants conduct interviews everyday, and are more than happy to help you prepare for some questions you may be asked, as well as get a little more comfortable with interview style questions.

This can help you feel at ease when the time comes, so you can answer clearly and with your best foot forward.

Employment resources after discharge

Employment resources after discharge

As part of our support to veterans we have placed, we provide referrals to helpful resources through corporate partnerships. Some of these services are free of charge, or special offers made for DefTech placements. However some do incur a small fee on behalf of the individual.

Some of our corporate partnership referrals include:

-Discounts on certain private health insurance for obtaining a new policy, more than would normally be applied with a DVA card.
-Training programs to assist in the transition, before and after discharge.
These assist in preparing for interviews, resume writing, and knowing how to translate military qualifications into civilian qualifications.
The training also covers preparing for salary negotiation, and corporate culture outside of the ADF.
-Referrals to known veteran community groups, tailored to the individuals interests.
